CMS Finalizes Changes to Physician Fee Schedule for 2020 and Beyond

Announcing the latest changes to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) stated that the policy and payment updates represent a continuation of the administration's efforts to put "patients over paperwork" and build a healthcare system that focuses on improving health outcomes. Accordingly, the calendar year (CY) 2020 PFS final rule includes new policies designed to enhance care management for chronically ill beneficiaries, expand Medicare telehealth services, and simplify documentation requirements for clinicians.
