Can I still access content from the 2025 Annual Assembly?
No, the 2025 Annual Assembly virtual website closed on Thursday, June 26 at 11:59pm PT.
When will registration open for 2026?
The 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care in San Diego, CA registration will open in early October.
What is included in registration?
In-person registration includes all plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, paper, case, and poster presentations, exhibit hall access, the welcome reception in the exhibit hall, and access to the various recorded sessions through the on-demand period in the virtual conference platform.
All pre-conference workshops require separate registration at an additional cost and are for in-person attendees only.
What if I want to bring a guest?
Guess passes can be purchased for $100 each for guests to access the Exhibit Hall, opening night reception, and morning breaks. Access to educational sessions is not included.

When is the Principal Call for Abstracts opening for 2026?
The Principal Call for Abstracts is open from June 16 through July 14. Submitters to the Principal Call will be considered for Podium (Oral) Presentations that highlight innovative models, clinical advances, and impactful experiences in hospice and palliative care.
Is there only one Call for Reviewers?
No, this year we are dividing the call for reviewers into two segments.
The first segment is requesting reviewers to evaluate abstracts submitted via the Principal Call. This call closed on Monday, June 30.
Meanwhile, the second segment will be looking for reviewers for abstracts submitted through the Scientific Research and Early Career Call, opening Thursday, September 25.
When is the Scientific Research and Early Career Call for Abstracts opening for 2026?
The Scientific Research and Early Career Call for Abstracts and Reviewers (previously the Subsequent Call) opens Thursday, September 25.
Designed specifically for researchers (with completed study results), early career professionals, and professionals in training. This call offers a dedicated platform to share scholarly work and highlight innovative contributions to the field of hospice and palliative care.
When is the next State of the Science Symposium?
State of the Science will happen in 2026 in San Diego, CA. More information coming soon.
Cancellation & Transfer Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. A $100 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations dates. Refunds, if approved, will be issued 2-4 weeks after the meeting.
Where are the upcoming Annual Assembly locations?
The 2027 Annual Assembly will be held March 17-20, 2027 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The 2028 Annual Assembly will be held March 15-19,2028 in Louisville, Kentucky.
