Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Points
The 2025 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care is planned in the context of one or more of the ABMS/ACGME Competencies and includes an evaluation designed to assess changes in learners’ competence, performance, or the impact on patient outcomes.
To support MOC reflection opportunities, the 2025 Annual Assembly offers end of day accredited education homerooms in the in-person space where learners engage with faculty and colleagues to share key learning points and discuss session reflections. Learners are asked to choose sessions reflective of their top learning priorities and to keep track of at least one key learning point from each attended session for reflective learning.
AAHPM has registered the 2025 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care to offer MOC points to the following certifying Boards:
- American Board of Anesthesiology: This activity contributes an anticipated 45 CME credits* to the CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s redesigned Maintenance of Certification in AnesthesiologyTM (MOCA®) program, known as MOCA 2.0®.
- American Board of Internal Medicine: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn an anticipated 45 MOC medical knowledge points* in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
- American Board of Pediatrics: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn an anticipated 45 MOC points* in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

* Number of MOC points/credits are subject to change upon presenter availability and submitted session pre-recordings for on-demand participation.
Use of Learner Data: It is AAHPM’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting registered certifying board’s MOC credit. Learner data will be shared with ACCME and the applicable certifying board. By completing the evaluation component to obtain CME/MOC points, you give AAHPM permission to share your data with ACCME and the relevant certifying board(s) where applicable.
Physicians claiming MOC points for their participation in the 2025 Annual Assembly must attest to meaningful activity participation and completion/submission of (1) Session-Level and (2) Overall Annual Assembly Evaluations within the time frame designated for the MOC points to count toward any MOC requirements that are due by the end of 2025.
