Accredited Continuing Education
The 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care has been planned implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Joint partnership of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA).
Attendees of the 2026 Annual Assembly will have until Monday, June 30, 2026 at 11:59pm PT to access the Assembly website and claim CE credits.
Planned Accredited CE Credits/Contact Hours Include:
- In-Person Preconference workshops March 4, 2026, up to 7.5 credit/contact hours
- In-Person Conference from March 5-7, 2026, up to 13.5 credit/contact hours
- Maximum of 66 credits/contact hours* planned for Assembly accredited educational content for in-person and on-demand participation
*The number of continuing education credits/contact hours is subject to change upon presenter availability and submitted session pre-recordings for on-demand Assembly On Call participation.
Physicians
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits*
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA). The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
AAHPM designates this other activity (blended credit for real-time and self-paced learning) for a minimum of 66 hours* of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)â„¢.
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Points
The 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care is planned in the context of one or more of the ABMS/ACGME Competencies and includes an evaluation designed to assess changes in learners’ competence, performance, or the impact on patient outcomes.
AAHPM has registered the 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care to offer MOC points to the following certifying Boards:
- American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn a maximum of 66.0 MOC medical knowledge points* in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
- American Board of Pediatrics (ABP): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn a maximum of 0 MOC points* in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
- American Board of Surgery (ABS): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn a maximum of 66.0 MOC points in the ABS Continuous Certification Program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Use of Learner Data: It is AAHPM’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting registered certifying board’s MOC credit. Learner data will be shared with ACCME and the applicable certifying board. By completing the evaluation component to obtain CME/MOC points, you give AAHPM permission to share your data with ACCME and the relevant certifying board(s) where applicable.
Physicians claiming MOC points for their participation in the 2026 Annual Assembly must attest to meaningful activity participation and completion/submission of (1) Session-Level and (2) Overall Annual Assembly Evaluations within the time frame designated for the MOC points to count toward any MOC requirements that are due by December 2026. Evaluation period closes for claiming CME credits and MOC points on June 30, 2026, at 11:59PM PT.
American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Prescribed Credits
Application for CME credit pending filing with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. Conference organizers plan to apply for 21.0 Live AAFP Prescribed credits and a max of 45.00 enduring on-demand Prescribed credits. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)â„¢ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
Physician Associate (PA) CME Credits
NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢ from organizations accredited by ACCME and AAFP prescribed credit. PAs may claim an anticipated maximum of 66* AMA PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢ for successful completion.
RN and APRN Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Credits*
Joint provided by American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This activity is eligible for nursing continuing professional development contact hours; however, the number of hours is yet to be determined. * Successful completion requires participants to attest to sessions attended and complete/submit the post-activity evaluation within the timeframe specified.
NCPD certificates will delineate pharmacotherapeutic contact hours* earned in addition to NCPD contact hours awarded for successfully completing conference sessions.
All individuals in a position to control content will be submitting financial disclosure information and appropriate disclosures will be made prior to the event.

Amedco Joint Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Credits are generally reported during the first week of each month for those who claimed during the month prior.

Social Workers (ASWB) Credit Designation
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. ASWB Content Level: Intermediate. Social workers completing this course receive up to 21.00 continuing education credits. Evaluation period closes for claiming Social Worker ACE credits April 21, 2026 at 11:59pm Pacific Time.
