AAHPM Donation Funds
Greatest Need
A donation to AAHPM’s “Greatest Need” is an unrestricted gift or pledge provides the flexibility and resources needed to address the most pressing issues facing hospice and palliative care medical professionals by supporting the Academy’s programs, services, and general operating needs. With your support, the Academy is able to provide more to its members so that they can, in turn, help their patients.
Alyssa L. Bogetz Educational Fund
The Alyssa L. Bogetz Educational Fund to Integrate Care for Patients with Mental Illness Into Hospice and Palliative Medicine aims to provide educational offerings for multidisciplinary clinicians from the field of hospice and palliative care at AAHPM events that specifically address the challenges related to refractory mental illness in patients and families served.
Hospice and Palliative Medicine Access Fund
The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Access Fund provides scholarships to cover in-person or virtual registration fees (excluding pre-conference workshops) and $500 toward travel-related expenses (airfare, hotel, cab fare, and meals) for those attending the in-person Annual Assembly.
International Physician Scholarship Fund
The International Physician Scholarship provides financial support and access to quality education for physicians who reside in developing countries by helping them attend the Annual Assembly.
Leadership Fund
The AAHPM Leadership Fund serves as a vital conduit for advancing the field of hospice and palliative care by funding AAHPM’s leadership development initiatives. The fund also provides essential resources towards AAHPM’s own leadership development programs and education opportunities that nurture the growth of future leaders, ensuring a strong and dynamic landscape for the advancement of compassionate care and innovation within the field.
Next Gen Scholars for Equity in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
This newly added program supports post-graduate medical residents interested in hospice and palliative medicine from communities that are underrepresented in the profession’s workforce and leadership, and who will be essential as our professional community works together towards centering the needs of those currently marginalized in hospice and palliative medicine.
