Dr. Gomez is the president of Advanced Illness Management Consulting LLC, where she helps healthcare organizations serving high-risk and seriously ill populations develop community-based strategies focusing on ER diversion, home-based care, and palliative care. Her executive coaching program, Strategic Joy, supports clinicians and leaders through career transitions, the blending of professional and family responsibilities, and the cultivation of emotional well-being so they can lead with clarity, purpose, and sustainability.   Dr. Gomez previously served as Medical Director of Care and Value for WellMed and led the creation of eight inpatient palliative care programs at Memorial Hermann Health System in Southeast Texas.  She has over 20 years of experience as a hospice medical director and received the Circle of Life award Citation of Honor for her work with the Memorial Hermann Physician Network.  A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, she is a Master Certified Physician Development Coach, an ICF Level 1 coach, and a PhD candidate in Integrative Medicine, with certification pending as a health coach. She lives on a 10‑acre Texas farm with her husband of 23 years and has five amazing children.
