Dr. Dena Schulman-Green is Associate Professor and Director of the Florence S. Downs PhD Program in Nursing Research and Theory Development at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Drawing on her background in gerontology and psychology, she studies self- and family management of chronic illness with a particular focus on cancer. Dr. Schulman-Green specializes in qualitative and mixed methods research, as well as tailoring research approaches to better engage vulnerable populations. She has been an active AAHPM member and volunteer since 2009 and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management.
