Dr. Silverstein is a Pediatric Palliative Medicine physician at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado. She joined the faculty after completing training at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital/Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. She currently serves as the Inpatient Medical Director and Physician Informaticist for the Section of Palliative Medicine. 

She is passionate about global health and spent two years working in sub-Saharan Africa. She also completed an Executive MBA in Health Administration and has a background in program development, medical education, and clinical research. Her work focuses on advancing DHEI initiatives, deepening understanding and measurement of dignity in pediatric care, and honoring the legacies of children at the end of life.
