Hospice and Palliative Medicine Access Fund

This scholarship is now open through December 8.

AAHPM’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine Access Fund provides scholarships for U.S.-based members to attend the 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care. Scholarships cover registration fees for either in-person attendance or virtual Assembly On-Call access.

Recipients of the in-person scholarship will also receive a $500 travel stipend to help offset expenses such as airfare, hotel, ground transportation, and meals.

Please note: This scholarship applies only to the 2026 Annual Assembly full conference registration and does not include pre-conference workshops.

Eligibility

This scholarship is available exclusively to current AAHPM members who are based in the United States and actively working in the field of hospice and palliative care.

AAHPM gives preference to applicants who:

• have not previously attended the Annual Assembly,
• demonstrate a commitment to the field of hospice and palliative care,
• demonstrate the need for scholarship funds to facilitate their attendance, or
• have been selected to present an abstract, paper or poster.

How to Apply

Applications for the 2026 Annual Assembly Access Fund is now open through Monday, December 8 at 5pm CT.

1. Complete the Application – All applications must be submitted through the Academy’s online application portal.
2. Upload your Curriculum Vitae (CV) – No more than two pages.
3. Letter of Recommendation – This can be uploaded through the online application form.

Notification of scholarships will be made in early January.
