Apply for the 2026 International Physician Scholarship
Across the world, physicians are driving compassionate, patient-centered care in communities where resources are limited but dedication runs deep. AAHPM’s International Physician Scholarship Fund helps empower these leaders by providing access to top-knotch education and global connection through the 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care. Selected recipients receive up to $5,000 to attend the 2026 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care, covering registration and travel expenses.
At the Annual Assembly, scholars will:
- Learn from leading experts in the field and the latest research in hospice and palliative care
- Be paired with an AAHPM member mentor and share insights about hospice and palliative care in their home country
- Connect with AAHPM and emerging leaders during a special luncheon and attend the AAHPM business meeting
Eligibility:
Applicants must be physicians working in hospice and palliative medicine who permanently reside in a low- or middle-income country (per World Bank). Preference is given to early-career physicians (2–10 years of experience), first-time attendees, and those whose institutions have limited resources.
